Privacy Policy

Strike Timer Interval Training
Effective date: March 30, 2026

Strike Timer is built with privacy as a core principle. Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

This Privacy Policy describes how Strike Timer Interval Training ("Strike Timer," "we," "us," or "our"), developed by Shannon Kempenich, handles information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

Strike Timer is designed to operate almost entirely on your device. We do not collect personal information, and we do not maintain any servers that receive your data. Here is a complete accounting of the data the App interacts with:

Timer Presets & Settings Local Only
Your custom timer configurations, app preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data never leaves your device.
Workout History Local Only
Records of your completed workouts are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to any server or third party.
Apple Health Data Opt-In
If you grant permission, Strike Timer can write workout data to Apple Health. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent through the iOS permission system. We can only read and write the specific Health data types you authorize. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
Motion Sensors Not Stored
The App accesses your device's motion sensors to detect shake gestures for hands-free timer control. Motion data is processed in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Audio Not Stored
The App uses audio playback for timer sounds and audio ducking (lowering other audio during alerts). No audio is recorded or captured from your microphone.
Apple Watch Local Only
If you use the companion Apple Watch app, timer state is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This data stays entirely on your paired devices.

Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, Strike Timer does not collect or access:

How We Use Information

All data processed by Strike Timer is used solely to provide the App's core functionality:

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose beyond the App's direct functionality.

Third-Party Services

Strike Timer integrates with the following third-party services:

Qonversion (In-App Purchases)
We use Qonversion to manage subscription and in-app purchase functionality. Qonversion processes purchase transactions through Apple's App Store and Google Play's payment systems. Your payment information (such as credit card details) is handled entirely by Apple or Google and is never accessed by the App or by Qonversion directly. Qonversion may receive anonymized transaction identifiers to manage subscription status. For more information, see Qonversion's Privacy Policy.
Apple HealthKit
If you opt in, the App interfaces with Apple HealthKit to write workout data. Apple HealthKit data is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and is stored securely on your device and in your iCloud account (if you have Health data syncing enabled). We do not have access to any HealthKit data beyond what you explicitly authorize.

We do not integrate any analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or social media SDKs.

Data Storage & Security

All app data (timer presets, settings, workout history) is stored locally on your device using industry-standard on-device storage mechanisms. Since we do not transmit data to external servers, there is no risk of server-side data breaches affecting your information.

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device encryption, passcode protection, and biometric locks. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by uninstalling Strike Timer from your device. Any workout data written to Apple Health can be managed directly through the Apple Health app.

Children's Privacy

Strike Timer does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since the App does not collect personal data, require user accounts, or connect to external servers, it does not pose data collection risks to children. However, the App is not specifically directed at children under 13.

Your Rights Under GDPR & CCPA

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Because Strike Timer does not collect, store, or process personal data on any server, most traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied: your data is already entirely in your possession on your device. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

If you believe you have a data protection concern, you are welcome to contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable laws. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where practical, provide notice within the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
